I was emailed by a work contact in Taiwan requesting that I talk to him using Skype. So naturally I set up an account, ordered a headset and when it came, fired up Skype.
It worked a treat! His message back said 'Oral English not good' so we just typed messages to each other. Never mind, I can use the headset to listen to music...
Playing with my profile I realised that I needed a photo. And for the first time in my life I actually put up a photo of myself in bloke mode.
For a daft few moments I contemplated how easy it would have been to fish Penny's picture off the web and use that, but of course I used my bloke picture from our company intranet. How boring.
It would have been fun to have my 'usual' on-line picture but I fear that explaining it would have been too much work, not to say problematic in the work-place.
Ah me, back into the closet then!
Anyone else had a similar experience?
