I'd imagine what it would be like to dress up as a woman, properly. Before long I'd drift off to sleep, but disappointingly never got much beyond putting on a few items of underwear.
What was worse, although I frequently had dreams - in full colour, since you ask - they sadly never seemed to pick up where I left off when I fell asleep.
Once in a while you read about people who have found a way to drop into 'lucid dreaming' where anything is possible and you get to control it. You know, flying, meeting God, that kind of thing. For me, nada. Never mind. I reckon I found something better anyway.
And the funny thing is, once I had really dressed up properly, make-up, wig, proper padding and nice clothes that were all my own, I didn't need to imagine it any more instead of counting sheep.
So for the past few years I haven't needed to think about what it might be like - because I know.
And aint it great? Nothing beats the real thing, in my book.
I feel really sorry for the poor saps who haven't tried it. 8-)
Does dressing up do it for you?

Yes, sure does, especially that bit that all the clothes are mine really rings with me. But now I find that just dressing up is not enough, I need to go out, be seen and take part in the world.
